JustUnfollow.com is a twitter management tool.
The basic idea is to find out who is not following you back and cull them. It’s very simple, you just sign in with your Twitter account to get a list of all the offenders.
…so why does it matter if you are following someone who isn’t following you back?
This from the site:
JustUnfollow lets you unfollow those not following you back. You can also find Twitter users who haven’t tweeted in a long time and unfollow them. Why follow someone who is clearly not going to see your tweets? JustUnfollow them!
This from me:
A better way of looking at it, I think, is to see it as an opportunity to review accounts that are not engaging with you as a person / organisation / brand / charity ~ is their place in your timeline justified or is it time for a quick and painless click-cull?
Or maybe the onus is on you – you could look at this list and see opportunity to engage with people who currently you do not – maybe you should say hello, start a conversation, pass them a piece of content that may be of specific interest to them or just outright ask them why they don’t follow you. In the last case you probably should prepare yourself for some harsh words home truths but you could still get some valuable feedback as to how you could improve your twittering.
NB you can also use the service the other way round and review people who are following you but that you do not follow back – see if they are worth a click.
